We are a family run catering company based in Kinross, Scotland – headed up by husband & wife team Jack and Amy Elles.

Our style is smart, elegant and unobtrusive. Understated luxury at its very best. From our waiting staff’s tailored Nehru jackets to elegant glassware and unfussy serving style, we provide a distinctive, impressive and desirable look that works well with any event styling.

We pride ourselves on our simple, brasserie style menus. These offer a fantastic range of produce, with additional seasonal menus to suit the time of year.

We only cook with ingredients that we believe are the very best we can find and use crockery, cutlery, glassware and styling that we love.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Our story starts back in the early 2000’s when Jack and Amy met out in the Alps. From there, their culinary journey took off. Starting in an old VW camper, they travelled around Europe cooking at lots of different spots (Michelin restaurants, private hotels, for Royalty, ski chalets and so on). Returning home they decided to set up something for themselves and bought an old burger van off Ebay - from there ‘The Laughing Stock’ our street food company was born.

WHY STOCKS EVENTS?

While large event catering was not a field Jack and Amy initially thought they would like to be in, it essentially came and found them. During their time running ‘The Laughing Stock’ they had many requests from friends and family to cater their weddings or parties and well you know... they sort of had to say yes! It turned out that they absolutely loved it and haven’t looked back since. Jack and Amy love their ‘The Laughing Stock’ brand but felt that they should create a point of difference for private events - the natural progression being ‘Stocks Events’.

PRESENT DAY

Stocks Events became official in 2014 and has since gone from strength to strength. We started out cooking in a combination of Jack and Amy's home kitchen and renting commercial spaces to where we are now - in an impressive 6000sq ft industrial unit with a purpose built prep kitchen purpose, office and room to swing plenty of cats. We have the best clients, many from word of mouth recommendations, a fantastic team and we work with some of the industry's best venues and suppliers in the most beautiful locations all over Scotland.
